Welcome to the aerial archive

The aerial archive is located at the Department for Prehistoric and Early Historic Archaeology (Ur- und Frühgeschichte) of the University of Vienna.

Our main aim is to develop sophisticated techniques to acquire, use, interprete and map remotely sensed data in archaeology and cultural heritage applications. We have long time experience in all aspects of aerial archaeology, photogrammetry, as well as terrestrial and airborne laserscanning.

If you are interested in aerial archaeology, airborne laserscanning, landscape archaeology and digital documentation of archaeological excavations, then you will probably find these pages useful.
